The first in a new series…more to come!
This is my contribution to “Lines Drawn: Parents and Teacher’s Who’ve Had Enough” (Part 1), a comics project inspired by student activists, organized by Meredith Li-Vollmer, edited by Mita Mahato, and published by Mutha Magazine.
I finally illustrated this conversation in honor of the 6th (!) NWSL season which kicks off tomorrow. Support these players and this league – get thee to a game ASAP!
P.S. I feel like I can’t post anything without the disclaimer that I know everything is awful and scary in the world right now. But I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I firmly believe that supporting women’s professional sports is a powerful and enjoyable way to combat a culture of sexism and misogyny. So go to a game! Let’s enjoy ourselves while we burn it all down.
